Accidental Outfit

Hi everyone
Today's outfit comes to you purely by accident.  Honestly, yesterday I was just going to throw something on because I had work to do in my studio and cleaning to do in the house.  My clothes had other ideas in mind.
I grabbed a pair of jeans I had worn over the weekend that were just thrown across the stool I have in my closet.  As I was grabbing them, I noticed a shirt that had fallen off of the hanger.  I picked it up and decided, hey I'll just wear this...
I looked in the mirror and thought... this has sort of a 70's vibe going, what else can I add.  Grabbed the straw belt and then remembered these great shoes I got in Chicago a million years ago.  Threw them on and viola...super 70's look and I didn't even try.
I thought to myself, all I need is a big floppy hat.  Didn't have one because I am not a hat person and in fact own 3 not counting a ski beanie.  I saw this Liberty of London hat on the hook that I got at Target last season for $1.50.  I just really liked the pattern on it, but have never worn it. I just threw it on my head and headed out for pictures.
Obviously a big floppy hat would have looked better and now seeing the pictures I wish I would have thrown on some gold bangles and some long earrings to complete the look.
Well, for a outfit that wasn't even in the cards, I think this simple look  turned out pretty cute.

Have you ever had one of those serendipitous moments while getting dressed?

I really like this 70's vibe. A straw floppy hat is on my spring wish list.

I need a big, floppy hat for spring. I don't wear hats often either, but that one is super cute.

The last picture is my favorite because it is so much fun and cute! I've seen a lot of fun hats this year...most were in Target. I think I want to get one too!

Hey for $1.50 I couldn't pass the hat up, even if it only gets worn mostly by the hook in my closet. ha

the belt was a spur of the moment purchase at a Loft sale a couple years ago
