You've Got To Be Kidding

Sunday morning I awoke to the sound of pounding rain outside my window.  The wind was blowing and I could tell it was much cooler than it had been.  All I could think was, really?  The first day I get to walk into my closet and pick ANYTHING I want to wear and the day is cold & rainy and all I really want to do is stay in my pj's all day long. (yea, in our heads we get to use run on sentences like that)
I knew I did have to get dressed for church and we had promised son1 to take him to one of his favorite restaurant for lunch, so the pj option was out.

Here is what I went with
(not what I pictured in my mind for the first non- 30 for 30 day)
I just wanted to be warm and comfortable.
Plus I wanted to try out my new rain boots I got for my birthday,
but haven't been able to wear because of the 30 for 30.
  (I love them C.)
Remember i said it was pouring down rain?
Off to the basement for my pictures.
This is son2's workout room.
Not one of my most graceful moments.
I was trying to stand on the brick ledge and  my boots were too large for the ledge. Falling just as camera snapped the picture.
Headed back upstairs  to watch movies and hoping that son1 started his mountain of laundry soon.
(ps...he didn't)

sweater and jeans-GAP
scarf-won it

earrings-Leah & Co.

Blue is your color for sure!!!

the last gully-washer ( hilly-billy talk for a non-stop rain deluge ;)
i had just had a hysterectomy and went
into our finished basement bedroom, which house our old computer, and the carpet went squish, squish, squish!!!
I had to get the shop-vac and all our towels and carry them all night back and froth to the dryer...
i got a huge set-back after that!
my computer desk was ruined and the walls had to come off to reveal the worst "patch job' in history!
needless to say,
Rain somehow makes me kinda nervous. Boy! was that a ramble!
Obviously I still haven't gotten over it ;)

ah -- I did a post on my rain boots too! My rain boots are very special to me because they remind me of my dad shoveling snow when I was a kid.
