Yea, 1961! That was the year my friend was born and we celebrated her 5-0! on Friday night.
We went to a Mongolian Stir Fry restaurant. Now I will tell you that I was super skeptical of this place. It was described as ,"you get to pick as much raw meat as you want and put it in a bowl." Oh, boy...sounds delish!
Well, It was delish.
I wore my beloved Banana Republic maxi dress.
I styled it differently, adding a scarf and a belt.
I might actually like it better belted!
Here is peek of what we got to pick for our dinner.
It is true, you just fill a bowl with raw meat and then, seasoning, veggies and a sauce.
They take your bowl and cook it with either, rice or noodles.
Everyone made up a different combination and no one was disappointed.
How beautiful is this cake??? It was white chocolate key lime.
Doesn't sound good to you??
Well, you would be dead wrong.
That cake melted in your mouth and was sooo yummy.
(you did good Linda)
We ended up having a progressive birthday party.
That was not the plan, but it ended up being very fun and interesting!
The birthday girl is in the middle in the white tank & button down.
Pretty HOT! for a 50 year old huh?!
Happy Birthday, Shelley!
It was a blast and I hope I am as hip and cool as you when I turn 50!!

I like the dress belted, and the dinner and cake sound yummy.
Brett, I like the blue maxi on you. Maxi's are great and so comfy. I think the perfect Cake sounds yummy. I love white chocolate and key lime but together it sounds really interesting. Debbie http://thriftygirlvintage.com

I love how you added the belt!
I don't know how much I'd enjoy filling a bowl with as much raw meat as I wanted, but i'll take your word for it's deliciousness.
Glad you had a fun evening, and happy b-day to your friend!
Shelley is Hotchacha!! Holy cow. And you my dear! I love this dress. I agree that it looks even better with the belt. Super cute.
