Awkward And Awesome Thursday

Happy Thursday Ya'll!
Is anyone going to Fashion Night Out where they live tonight?
Oh, how I wish I were in NYC, but I will have to settle for FNO here in Charlotte, NC.  I will be sure and have a recap tomorrow.

Awkward:
  • While in a public restroom having people continually knock on the door.  When I came out of the restroom there was a line of 4 guys waiting to get in.
  • Having to sleep with a towel wrapped and strapped to my elbow per Physical Therapist instructions.  It works though!
  • Took son2 for some ice cream this weekend.  Owner of shop walked in went over to ice cream counter got himself a scoop turned to us and said he would have someone out to help us and walked out.
  • Husband, son2 and I went to The Apple Festival this weekend.  They must have let us in by mistake.  Seemed like we were the only ones under the age of 65 or that didn't have a giant stroller. (just wondering what ever happened to umbrella strollers??)
  • Watching a mom with triplet boys and an older daughter all on leashes! The daughter was having a total meltdown. I would too, if my mom put me on a leash!

Awesome:
  • Going to Fashion Night Out tonight!!
  • Going to New Orleans for the weekend!!!!
  • This fabulous cool weather
  • Jake Owens new album, Barefoot Bluejean Night(if you like country music you gotta check it out)
  • FINALLY getting tomatoes in my garden.
Loving pulling out the long sleeve shirts.
Added heavier accessories in deeper colors for a touch of fall.

What are you doing to transition summer pieces into fall??

shirt-Old Navy
skirt/belt-Loft
wedges-Dolce Vita via Target
earrings/necklace-Handpicked
bracelet-boutique in Brevard

Oh man, if I had triplet boys someone would have to put a leash on ME because I'd totally try to run away!

Have fun at FNO. I'm not going to any of the events in San Fran. Why is that? I guess I'm just too lazy. Also, I don't have anyone to go with so I'm feeling a bit shy.

Love that skirt and how you styled it.

I feel the same way about the child leash. Strange.

maybe we will bump into each other on Canal Street or something

Yea, that would be hard and to have a daughter only a year so older! But still, a leash.... I guess until you have walked a mile

I know what you mean. I invited 6 different people to go with me and only one accepted.
Sad really!!
Wish I was closer and we go together!!

Yea, the leash thing creeps me out almost as much as putting clothes on dogs.
lol

I belong at FNO.  Geeeezzzz.  I will get there someday.  I promise.
I love your awkwardness.  I hate it when people knock on the door when I am in the bathroom!

I'd love to go to Fashion Week some day, but I always want to go to NYC.

I think leashes on children are bad, but muzzles are good.

Fashion night out? How cool- I don't think we have that in Ottawa (just googled it with no results!) I LOVE this outfit- in fact it reminded me of an outfit I wore a few months ago: http://tinfoilstiaras.blogspot.com/2011/06/gym-gal.html  pretty similar huh? (Great fashionistas dress alike!) ;) Have a blast in New Orleans I've always wanted to go there! Hahah about the leashes- that always weirds me out!

I love these posts. So, were you in the mens bathroom? ha ha. That's something I'd do. Your outfit is so cute and I love the shoes! xo

OMG the strollers! I hate them! Why oh why so huge? We were at the state fair last week and I got ran over several times by those behemoths! Scary-arse I have to say.
