EBEW: DIY

DIY | Everybody, Everywear

Happy Tuesday to everybody!  Is it raining where you are?  It was so hard to get out of bed this morning with the rain and the cold air.  I always forget about that aspect of fall and winter... not ever wanting to get up in the mornings. lol

Today over on Everybody Everywear bloggers are showing off their DIY skills.  Our challenge was to wear something that you had created yourself.

I am sure many of you remember this white denim vest that I made out of a too large denim jacket.
I haven't worn it that much, so I thought that would be the basis of my outfit.
Then I remembered the dip dyed scarf I made this summer and
re-discovered when I was transitioning my closet from summer to fall.  If you are interested in learning how to make a scarf like this just check out Meg's tutorial here
I decided to pull all of these soft colors together and anchor them with brown cords and some dark brown and green jewelry.
There you have it:  Not just one DIY, but two.
Are you a big DIY'r when it comes to clothing or decorating?
What project have you done that you just fell in love with and couldn't believe you actually pulled it off?

I really envy you DIYers. I'm just not crafty in any way. I think about things I might be able to do but I'm too lazy or too scared to try it? Not exactly sure which.

I love the vest and the scarf. I think the pinks with the brown cords was a great color combination.

Tracy

I envy anyone who can do DIY stuff. I see all you bloggers out there doing such cool things, and I cannot be that creative! Plus, I can't sew for crap either, lol.

Love your white denim vest and the scarf. Pairing the lighter colors with the brown was a great idea.

No rain here in Columbus, but it's heading our way :(

I wish I was a smart enough present to DIY. I'm not. I have no skills. This sounds good, though!

Good work, Brett! I love your look here. I also am NOT a DIYer, but I admire those who do!!

Oh Wow Brett! You did an awesome job turning a jean jacket into a vest...you sewed it! Some would have just cut it for a fray but you did a great job!
