Craft Beer Week

This past weekend ended Craft Beer Week in Charlotte.
Craft Beer Week supports local craft beer makers and home brewers alike.
Husband is in the beginning stages of learning to home brew.
He has had one successful run so far.
So, of course we had to go this weekend and check things out.
We headed to the NoDa area of Charlotte and hit two new craft brewers.
They were both giving home brew demos,
so husband got to ask a lot of questions and learn things he never knew he needed to know!
These are the 2 brewers we hit.
We indulged in a little sampling of the goods while we were there.
My favorite beer was a pale ale infused with jalapeno.
  It was very good.
If you live in Charlotte you can find both of these brewer's beers at many local restaurants.
I dressed very casual and comfy.
The weather was delightful and I wanted to be comfy,
since I really had no idea what I was going to be getting myself into.
It turned out to be a great afternoon.

Are you a beer connoisseur or just drink whatever is available?
Have you or anyone you know made their own beer?

What a fabulous color for the pants! I love Craft Beer! I attend a festival in the Summer that celebrates Michigan Craft Beers.

I think it's possible that I've said this before but I really love those pants.

I'm not really a beer drinker, but I'd love to go to this. I'm picky about my beer and love trying new, unique brews. Invite me over for your husband's next successful run. ;)

I prefer Heineken when I drink beer. The beer from microbreweries aren't bad, the pale ale with jalepeno definitely sounds like an interesting blend. I like the sequins trim at the bottom :)

Microbrews are lots of fun - I'm more of a wine drinker but every now and then it's the perfect beverage. Love the outfit! The blue pants are so cute :)

I'm not a big fan of beer...never liked the taste. Hubby, on the other hand, loves the specialty beers..darker the better. Now, for your bright blue jeans, I'm a big fan!! Making me want to pull out my brights!!

My man would love this- he's the beer drinker, I only like Corona or Coors Light- much prefer wine or cocktails myself! Blue + yellow= perfection!

Those pants are great! Not a big beer drinker but I do enjoy a Corona with lime on a really hot day for some reason!

Love the outfit, would TOTALLY love to go to a craft beer fest! There are some micro-brewers an hour or so away from me in different directions that I visit from time to time, even if I have to make a special trip. I've been brewing my own via a Mr. Beer kit for probably 4 years or so now and love doing it. Some people pick fun at that saying that it's not "real" brewing, and my response is that it's just like making a cake from a box versus completely homemade. Hope he has fun and makes something tasty to share!

What an adorable outfit, I really love your sandals! Are they recent? I had a similar pair that bit the dust in Aruba and I'd love to replace them.

My brother is big into homebrewing, so we're trying to get together for the craft beer week here in DC at the end of April.
