Inspiration Monday

Hi all.
Today I decided to link up with Two Birds for their Inspiration Monday feature.
I don't know about you, but this time of year I really start to get bored with my summer clothes.
I decided to go to Two Birds for a little "get me through the rest of the summer" inspiration.

Here is the inspiration look for the day:
  kristin cavallari
Here is my interpretation:
I went with the lavender shorts rather than the jeans because that is what was in my closet.
It makes for a more comfortable outfit as I work to play catch up in my embroidery studio as well.
Doing this challenge also forced me to clean out this bag
that I threw under a chair in my room
 and totally forgot about.
I am giving the Inspiration Monday challenge a two thumbs up
 and
will continue to participate on Mondays for that little extra push to get me through the last month of summer(or longer)

Do you love summer clothes the most?
I am a winter clothes lover.
Which are you??

I love autumn clothes... denims, neck scarves, leather boots, sweaters and jackets. You are rocking this look though!

I do need some stripes in my closet.

Love your take on the inspiration outfit - so summery! You can't go wrong with a striped top. And tucking it into the front of those shorts it a cute touch. Following you now!

You threw that purse under a chair? Oh my!! I love it!
I'm a total Fall gal and love all the clothing that comes with it. It's my favorite transition into tights and boots because I really don't like summer clothing on me all that much. I prefer to cover up my upper arms, etc...But on those hot days I just have to say "screw it."
Don't know how I'm going to survive living in Arizona one day. Guess I'll just have to stay inside.

Ohh I love your take on the inspiration, I wore shorts in my interpretation as well (to be posted this evening). I'm a winter clothes lover too, shorts and don't really get along :D

I hope DC showed you a good time, minus our crazy thunderstorm. I wish I had known you were coming here, what did you do?

I love dressing for spring and fall the most. I get most bored trying to dress for summer. But in Texas (where I am a college student) summer seems to last well into September. I guess I have a long way to go.

Canadian winters are way too cold so I like fall and spring dressing the best- layers, scarves but not so cold that you get frostbite just taking outfit photos! Love the lavender shorts and great bag!

I know the feeling, the clearance items sitting on summer shelves look TIRED.. There is so much lipstick, powder spots, and streaks from self tanner! Ick!

Great job on the Inspiration Monday look! I didn't have any lavender bottoms, so I skipped this one. You look so comfy :)

You are rocking this look! I think I like summer clothes the best because I love bright colors. I like winter clothes, but all the layers can get quite tedious. Good thing I live in FL!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has started, and that always puts me in fall clothing mode.

I love your interpretation of Kristin's outfit.

Great oufit. I like my sweaters and boots but I also love strappy sandals and peep toes. Not having to wear tights is a plus too.

Those pale purple shorts are too fun - and they look great with the black and white stripes!

Hmm, how is it that I love stripes yet don't own a black and white striped tee??? Love yours, and that you decided to pair it with lavender shorts. And that bag is wonderful - I'm glad you dug it out. :)
