My Own Little Challenge

Last year at this time I was on the search for a sequin skirt.
Couldn't find one I loved anywhere that was affordable.
This year they, of course are everywhere.

In honor of the fact that I found one I love: I am challenging myself to wear it to all my holiday events this year.

The challenge will be to style it differently for each event.
My first event was last night.
A double birthday celebration for some friends.
I decided to add casual elements to the "fanciness" of the skirt.
Now if you are thinking, why is Brett wearing a yellow shirt?
  She hates that color.
The shirt is chartreuse in real life!
I really like the way this look turned out and I am hoping I am up for the challenge of making many more outfits from this skirt.

We also have another update on The Traveling Scarf.
This time we have Brooke from Inside-Out Design styling it for us.
She definitely went with a wintry look.
Looks like the scarf can transition quite well between seasons.
I love it paired with the leather jacket.

Do you have a sequin skirt, pants or shorts
that you will be styling for the holidays?

Ok, I love this skirt! I saw some at New York & Co and just wasn't sure to bite the bullet and get one. I really like the fancy and casual combo together. Now I want that sequined skirt, lol! Heather

I like the skirt! I saw a cute sequined skirt at Kohls, but couldn't think of enough places to wear it to justify buying it.

The skirt really is lovely. And your tree is very impressive!
I don't have any sequins but I do have lots of lurex so I still do my fair share of sparkling this Christmas! xxx

At first I thought you were gonna say you were wearing it EVERY day, which sounds like something I would do. Looking forward to seeing this gorgeous baby in action at holiday outings. But I'm thinking a sequined skirt for the office would be okay. Yeah? No? :(

Come Christmas time, I wear my tulle skirts for festive occasions, paired with some glitz and glam! Love the silver sequins paired with the chartreuse (even if I'm not quite sure what that colour really looks like, I like how it looks in the pics!) Great tree!
