A Little Prep In My Step

Son2 and I are headed up to his school right about now.
It has been fun having the sons home over the Christmas break.
Son1 didn't get to spend as much time at home as son2 due to his ski instructor job, but it was great when all of us were together under the same roof.

Now it is back to business as usual come Monday morning.
This is a pretty classic look,
but I like that I am wearing
a sweater that mimics a blazer instead of an actual blazer.
My cords are a dark teal color
that makes the gray and pink really pop.
Of course I had to wear my leopard smoking slippers
 with this "faux" blazer.
The belt which looks brown in these pics
is actually a silvery gray which complements the sweater well.
I am always a fan of the prep look
 and
I think this look is true to the preppy rules.

Are you a fan of cords?
Have you broken them out yet?

I LOVE that cardigan! I am trying to get out of my "cardigan rut" and something similar would be perfect because it really does look so much like a blazer! Cute outfit!

Well put together. I am not a preppy dresser but I can appreciate it in others. And this is preppy with a twist which is always good.

Love this, Brett. You always look so great.
I like cords on other people, but I just can't wear them.

So sassy! I love the look of the Gingham peaking out from the blazer/sweater and the Teal cords!

I have worn my cords, but they are tucked away today as it is 70+ degrees here!

Enjoy.

Brett, I want your hair...lol. I have been eyeing those cardi blazers, and thinking one would complete me, I mean, my wardrobe :P

I also like the softness of a sweater instead of a blazer and often do the same thing. Very cute look Brett.
