Hello all
Hope you had a fantastic weekend.
Son1 came home for a quick visit before school started today, so that was nice.
Over on Two Birds today our inspiration is Alexa Chung.
She has that waif thing down cold.
Pretty sure not many of us can pull off that look!
Since I don't own a cute little flirty black dress,
I decided to use separates to create the look.
I went with gray because that is what was in my closet.
I also felt that I was past the age of wearing socks with booties, so I threw on some sheer tights.
This is another look that is very dark and out of my comfort zone, but I think that it works well.
I could easily wear this look and throw on a bright colored scarf or statement necklace next time.
Do you own a flirty black dress?
Do you usually wear all black with it or add pops of color?

Looking good Brett! I couldn't bringmyself to wear little socks with boots either, not least because it's so cold outside!
I actually prefer your look over hers. I would not wear the socks with the booties either. Throwing on a bright scarf would be fun and definitely you! Heather
i love this look on you! we promise to pick something with color for next week!!
I like your look. So wearable. But Alexa Chung is far too skinny to be attractive to me.
Good grief, Alexa Chung has lost so much weight, she looks positively skeletal. Cute frock, but I'm guessing not many of us would go so short. I like your version, Brett, and love the heeled brogues. I don't wear black as often as I did a few years back, but I have a couple of black dresses which I like. I wouldn't call them flirty though! With colour for me, please. xxxx
I love that your background even kind of matches with the brick wall! I love the top. I usually prefer gray to black anyway.

Great creative take on the inspiration - gray is a nice change from black and mixing separates is a genius idea. A bright accent would be fun!
I think the darker colors also look good on you. Funny, darker colors are more of my comfort zone. I guess it's nice to step out of our comfort zones every now and then :) You look great!

You look better than Alexa Chung. Love that top and skirt and those shoes are so cute.
Well.. she is darling and I like her flirty little dress.
I like what you've done here Brett and you look great!
I love this whole look! And that fabulous necklace pulls it together so well!

Hi Brett! You have great legs there and I think hiding them would not be a good idea. ;) I love the sheerness of the stockings you have on. Much better than the famous model.
Really cute outfit too. Sometimes I do wear solid black but the next day I usually have to wear color on top.
Hi Brett :-)
Great outfit! And I think you made the right decision not to wear socks!!!
I do have a flirty black dress. Most of the time I wear it with a colorful (or pastel) scarf! It adds a little touch of flair to it.

I like that skirt, and the gray is a nice alternative to black.
I would definitely lean towards your version. You look good in dark colors! I do equate Brett with bright colors tho!
I like your version better! I do have a flirty black dress which I will be posting soon!

the grey works wonderfully dear bret. your skirt has the perfect flirty flare, just like alexa's. :)
It looks great, Brett and I love the sheer tights with the outfit.
Love the gray and black - you look fabulous!

I have an abundance of black in my closet....and yes I do add colour when I wear a black dress. I think you did a great job using Alexa as your inspiration. Hope you are feeling better, this cold is direly miserable.....
I have tons of black dresses, though I'm not sure if any of them count as flirty! I agree, the waif thing is hard to pull off, though I think for Alexa Chung it's more her mannerisms than the clothes she actually wears.
You could definitely go with a bright scarf the next time around, but keep the booties-- I love!
Love jacking off to these pics
