I personally don't think one can ever have too many boots, no matter what kind they are.
I finally got my boots out and wore them for the
first time this fall.
Oh, how I have missed them.
This look ended up having a prep school vibe to it
which I didn't intend,
but it works.
I think it is the blazer and the way the scarf is tied.
I really like mixing the black, gray and brown tones together. Throw in just a hint of color with the scarf and the look is totally pulled together.

I'd agree that the black, grey, brown tones work well together. I think too it's the shape if the dress that's adding to the preppy feeling. It the dress was more fitted and met the dress hem it would be a much different look:)

What a fun way to style this dress! I think I have the same one, if yours has a zipper at the shoulder. :) I will definitely keep this outfit in mind for when it cools down here.
