No Shop Novemeber

I am joining Heather over on Style Journey
for
 No Shop November.

I decided to join in because as she said,
it is November and we should be thankful for what we have.
Also, I am doing a Bible Study called,
Lord Change My Attitude by James McDonald.
The first couple of chapters are all about complaining and coveting.
The two big things that get fashion bloggers all the time.
Complaining that we don't have the latest this or that
or coveting something someone was wearing on their blog.

So, No Shop November represents a walk the walk,
not just talk the talk attitude for me.
Feel free to jump on the No Shop November train.

This challenge only applies to no shopping for me.
No clothes, jewelry, make-up etc.
I couldn't not shop at all in November with Christmas just around the corner.

I am so glad that you are joining along. I think you are super strong and will be able to do this. It's so true that as bloggers we fall prey to having to have what everyone else has. I have so much and need to appreciate everything that I already have. Support from each other is what I am thankful for this month!

Good for you, Brett, hope No Shop November goes well. I honestly don't covet the latest stuff, or other bloggers' things. I'm always interested to see what people do with their existing wardrobe, remixing and being creative is fascinating to me. There's nothing particularly clever about just going out and buying the latest thing straight off the rail. xxxx

I love this idea! And since I've already drained my fall clothing allowance, I can easily hop on board. Besides, I agree with pastcaring--I actually feel better when I remix my current wardrobe than after a shopping spree. Do I really need another sweater? I don't think so.

I agree, good going Brett! We all buy too much "stuff" and for me, the funny thing is, I usually end up liking clothes I've had for a long time, more than anything new I might buy. Not that I buy all that much these days. LOL

Happy Weekend, G

Brett,
This is very admirable, When you feel the urge to shop, go ahead! Just shop in your CLOSET! I do that often, and come up with alot. I also try to give things away on a regular basis.
Have a great week!
