Awkward and Awesome Friday

Good Friday to you all!
I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!
I had an awesome week, but also a few awkward moments crept in.
Awkward:
  • Slipping as you come out of a public restroom in front a a group of people.
  • Glitter ribbon, never again.
  • Gridlock traffic when you need to be somewhere at a specific time.
  • Forgetting that you are halving a recipe in the middle of adding the ingredients.
  • Flu like symptoms that you are trying to ignore.

Awesome:
  • Going to a Downton Abby themed Christmas dinner.
  • The Carolina Panthers made the Playoffs.
  • Christmas!!
  • Cooking with the boys. (husband and sons)
  • Watching old black and white Christmas movies.
It was around 70 degrees for a couple of days and it finally got cold again.
It's hard to dress for unpredictable weather.
Plaid, corduroy and knit are always a good choice.

Let's hear about your awkward and awesome moments in the comments.

Love the plaid with that scarf! And it sounds like your awesome out-weighed your awkward this week, so that sounds like a win in my book! Hope you and the boys had a great holiday!

I always struggle when I'm halving or doubling a recipe. ;)

It was a little awkward this morning when we realized the garage had been open all night and our power washer was gone, especially after reminding my son yesterday for the millionth time that he has to close the garage every time he opens it. Grrrr.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas, Brett! I am the same as you, refusing to give in to a cold/flu, but it's stalking me rather ominously...
Ha, I also agree with you about glitter ribbon!
Great cosy and casual look, btw! xxxxx

It does sound like your week was more awesome than awkward, and I do hope you are feeling okay and didn't come down with the flu!

Hope you have a great new year Brett!

We have the DVD box of Downton Abbey and the third DVD of the second season doesn't work AAAGGHHH. Just as Matthew marries Lavinia.
