Never Too Many Stripes

Hello!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
It was cold and yucky here.
Not only did I decided to do a little pattern mixing,
I  did a little stripe mixing as well.
This stripe mix works because
the stripes on top are bigger than the stripes on bottom.
The addition of a colored stripe on top also makes this work well.
If you are mixing the same pattern
the number one rule to remember is
to vary the size of the pattern.
I added the herringbone vest for interest, texture and warmth!
The addition of another pattern is quite acceptable.
Try to make the new pattern tonal.
  In other words,
use patterns of different hues of the same color.

Have you tried mixing patterns of the same kind before?
Were you happy with the outcome?

Yes, cold and yucky here too. You look so great in any weather though. The stripes are fun and I love how the umbrella plays a part as well.

Have a great week!
