Pants for a Snack!

I am totally bumming right now!  I have never had this happen before.  I have this fabulous pair of winter white wool pants that I had completely forgotten about.  They were somehow pushed in with the summer clothes.  Probably because they are white.  Anyway, I was so excited to remember that I had them.  Then...I saw them.  About a million little holes everywhere!!!  MOTHS!  I almost wanted to cry.  The pants are from last year, so I haven't even worn them that much.  There's no hope for these babies.  I feel sort of sick to my stomach when I think about them.  Have you ever had something like this happen???

Now I am obsessed with not letting something like this happen again, but on the other hand ~ I don't want my clothes to smell like an 87 year old woman.  Solutions?
After my run in with the Little Debbie Snack pants, I really didn't feel like dressing up very much.

Here is my super casual, but trying to stick the rules of my challenge outfit.

I have on velvet, pearls and a bit of lace.
I think that qualifies for my challenge.
(look at my face, still in shock over pants)

The temperatures are up from the teens to the thirties, so I ventured back outside for pictures

I think I need a better lipstick here.
I just grabbed what was in my purse this morning and smeared it on.

Somehow I am really messed up on my posting days.  This is Friday's outfit, but today is Saturday.  I will try to catch up, but right now I have to go prep my house for a party for tonight!

Oh, that just sucks! But on the bright side, that velvet jacket is fabulous!!

Have fun at your party. I have a family reunion tonight.

I have TOTALLY had that happen. To Cashmere! Oh the sadness!

I have put cedar blocks in drawers where I have sweaters and hung cedar blocks (I found mine at Target) from my closet rod (the moths to not like cedar. Remember when cedar chests were the thing?)

Good luck!

Make your own natural moth balls by putting a few drops of oil on a cotton ball and placing it into a small cloth bag alongside your clothing. Lavender, rosemary, clove, cedar wood, mint, thyme and sage are all good repellents. Mix and match the oils to suit your taste. You can also cedar chips placed in a cloth bag or make your own herbal sachets.

I have had that happen! It always seems to be something we really love...I am going to try this cotton ball solution and see if it works...but yes, the velvet is fabulous!

Beautiful jacket and the pearls qualify, even with the Converse! I wonder if a cedar closet or chest would help.
