Random, Fun Questions

I was tagged by Jodi a few weeks ago and she asked me to answer a few random questions.  They are fun and interesting questions I might add.
 So here we go:

1.  What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader for the longest time.  Now remember, this is back in the days when every football team did not have a cheering squad.  I will admit to you that I have even watched the Dallas Cowboy show over on CMT about becoming a DCC. (Our little secret okay!)

2.  Favorite childhood game?
Monopoly, but only the way my brother and I would play it.  It would just be the two of us and we pretty much made up our own rules to the game.  It was so much fun and we would play for hours.  Then I grew up, met husbands family and realized what a cutthroat game Monopoly really is.  Not a big fan anymore.  LOL

3.  Most favorite birthday?
When I was 10 or 11, can't remember.  I had what was supposed to be an outdoor birthday party.  My birthday is in January and I grew up in Louisiana.  You can usually count on the weather to be fairly mild.  Not this day.  We ended up bringing everything inside and grilling hot dogs over a hibachi grill in our breakfast room.  It turned out to be a great party and was probably more fun than if we had had it outside.

4.  Something you have always wanted to do and haven't yet?
I want to go on an African Safari!!  I don't want to go on a hunting safari or anything like that.  Just one where you go out into the jungle and see the wildlife up close and personal.

5.  What was your first love?
What?  Well, mine is a what and a who.  My first love was Barbie!  Seriously, how can one not love dressing her up 100 different ways in the span of one hour.  I would bribe my brother to let me play with his GI Joe's.  I would dress my Barbies up for dates with them.  The bribe part came in when: I promised him that he could bomb and destroy the whole scenario I had created when I was finished.  (you might be learning more about my brother than he would like for you to know!)

6.  First musical idol?
I am certain to be dating myself with this answer.  David Cassidy!!  Watched The Partridge Family every Friday night, had the albums and of course a few posters!

7.  Favorite gift?
This is a hard one to narrow down, so I am picking 2.  I love the diamond earrings that husband suprised me with for our 20 year anniversary. But, I think my favorite gift ever has to be my ipod.  I got one for Mother's Day from husband and sons when they first came out.  That little device changed my life forever!!

8.  If a theme song played everywhere I went what would it be?
Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall
I liked this song way before it was in the movie Devil Wears Prada.  I just want to be that girl that they refer to in the song.  My blog address even references the song.  www.silverpooloflightgirl.blogspot.com

9.  Favorite city to visit?
I am going to have to have a 3 way tie for this question.  I love NYC, San Francisco and after visiting Seattle twice this year, Seattle.  I love them all for different reasons and if you happen to live in any of these cities, LUCKY YOU!

Thanks to Jodi for tagging me.  I enjoyed answering the questions and I am sure my brother thanks you too.  Make sure and visit Jodi's blog day2daywear.  Jodi is fun, energetic and can rock an animal print.

I am passing these questions on to the following bloggers:

Thanks for playing along!

PS... there is no outfit post for today.
Frankly I pretty much stayed in sweats all day Sat.
I have been trying to beat a nasty cough.  I just got some new cough medicine and not only is it knocking out my cough, it is knocking me out as well.  Took a 4 hour nap!!

I did promise you a little sparkle and bling everyday this month, so here is my favorite little Christmas pillow!

Cheers to you all and I hope to be back in full swing tomorrow!

Haha, I loved reading all your answers. Your brother sounds very interesting! I went to Seattle once and absolutely hated it...I'm thinking I must have did it wrong.
