Friend Friday: Fitness and Fashion

Today's questions are regarding Fitness and Fashion.
Not sure I am the best authority on this topic, but I will try my best to answer the questions.


1. Do you keep some kind of fitness routine? Why? 
  • I do yoga and have done for about 2 years now.  
  • I try to take a class 4-5 times a week.
  • As to the why?  I  hate exercise and this is the only exercise that I actually like
  • I am old and yoga is great for flexibility and strength

2. Has working out, maybe training for a marathon or something of that nature, helped with your own perception of body image? 
  • Excuse me while I wipe the beverage off my face that I just spit out while laughing so hard when I read this question.
  • I despise running and can't imagine doing any kind of race
  • I have done yoga workshops that I have really enjoyed, but I don't know that they have changed my perception of body image.

3. When you are hitting the gym or just going out for a long walk what do you wear? Is it about functionality or fashion? 
  • I do chose my yoga wear carefully.  I don't buy the most expensive, but I do get breathable clothes that are made just for yoga.
  • I do try to get colorful tops and bottoms and will coordinate the tops and bottoms
  • No reason to look sloppy and haphazard just because you are working out.





4. Do you feel there is a cultural perception of what you should be doing for your own physical fitness? 
  • I think our society puts a lot of emphasis on physical fitness, but am not sure that the majority actually participate in physical fitness activities.




5. Dream big… what would be your ultimate fitness goal. 
  • Of course I'd love to be have about only a 15 percentage of body fat 
  • That will never happen because that is not a top priority for me, but the question did say.... dream!

you are not old. I think that is so awesome that you do yoga so often I need to work out more I just do the elliptical

I guess this answers my question from the other day about how you look so amazing. Yoga is a powerful tool. And it's a much harder workout than most people think. So, now I know why you're so darned cute.

I wish I could get it together to do yoga that often. I love it so much when I make myself do it!

Brett, you are too cute. Laughing at you spitting the beverage out. hee hee. I hate running too. I always feel best when I am practicing yoga which is making me think I should dig out that dusty old dvd. Hope your weekend is wonderful. xo

Yoga is good for making you keep your feet looking good all winter. It's all that looking at your toes/feet that keeps you motivated to make them look nice.
