Closet Orphan

Yep, you read the title correctly.  You know those pieces of clothing relegated to the back recess of your closet that you either forgot about or just don't care about.
Our challenge today for the 21 Day Challenge was to rescue one of those orphan pieces and wear it today.
I thrifted this skirt back in March.
I have to say I have NEVER worn it.
  Why not you ask???
Well, I didn't try it on when I got it and had no idea that the waist band would be hovering just under my bra.
Seriously, did we really wear our clothing that high waisted at one time??
I am sure you can guess what attracted me to this skirt...
the sequins on the bottom.
I still love the colors, the sequins and it is silk as well.
I am going to see how much the high waist bothers me today and then decide what to do with this "special" skirt.
I challenge you to go check out the back of your closet for a closet orphan that you can go and rescue today!!
You might just add a new piece to wardrobe!

Thanks for giving me incentive to finally wear the skirt
So far super high waist band isn't bothering me much

I love the belt, too. Yay!

I agree the belt somehow ties it altogether!

You mean just because I was MIA from my blog doesn't mean that everyone was? Holy cow, you are a blogging machine. I just went through all the posts I missed. You are killing this 21 day challenge. I'm loving all your looks and choices.

This skirt is amazing. I love the colors and the fun sequin on the hem. Great belt. I've found skirts at thrift stores with the same high waist issue. It's hard to incorporate that look but you found the perfect solution.

You look great in that skirt. It is quite different with the sequins on the bottom.
