Awkward and Awesome Thursday

How can it already be Thursday I ask you???
Love those long weekends, they just make the week fly by.
Awkward:
  • I was contacted by a company last Thursday that wanted me to advertise walking canes on my blog because they thought I was a good fit for that demographic.
  • The shift key on the right side of my laptop stopped working.  That is very awkward when typing.
  • Realizing while standing in the grocery store line that this very grocery store was the one robbed the night before and that actual gun shots had been fired.
  • All the little bunnies visiting my garden.  They are just too cute, but are eating up all my veggies.
  • A cork charge at a wine bar and we bought the wine there!
Awesome:
  • Making Memorial Day S'mores.
  • Hatfield's & McCoy mini series on the History Channel.
  • Finding new light fixtures for my soon to be repainted kitchen.
  • Getting the sale price on items I bought a few days before they went on sale.
  • My blooming hydrangeas!
I wore this last Friday while out running errands.
I know it's crazy to have a cardi in this heat...
but the stores are freezing.

So hit me with your awkward and awesome moments this week.

Really cute outfit! You're great with adding that dash of color.
Yesterday I was glued to the t.v. because of what was going on in the news. Someone randomly shot and killed three people at an often frequented cafe. He then ended up at a parking lot killing a woman for her car, then headed over to my neighborhood where they caught him on the sidewalk..he proceeded to drop to his knees and do himself in. What a day!!!
Sorry to sound so harsh. ;) A cute outfit makes it all go away. haha

What an incredible outfit. I love all of it. Your hair looks freak'n awesome right now. The length and all the curls. Perfection.

I'm anxious about nothing and about everything. Can't explain it. Just always get the pre-travel crazies. Especially when it's traveling to another country. I just have to remember to breathe and I should be ok.

Tracy

I've been hearing really good things about that History channel special. I never watch that station! Sounds like I should.

Love this outfit! One of your best! Awkward moment for me? I tried a new eye cream that I got an allergic reaction to. It made my eyes red and puffy. The opposite of what it was supposed to do!

The wine bar charged a corking fee for wine they sold? Weird. I like the green pants!

Hey, thanks for your comment on my blog. But I think you got the wrong impression. If you had read my post, you would have seen that the dress was expressed in a tongue-in-cheek type of way:

"Attending the wedding of a beloved frenemy? Want to steal the show? Then dress in all white and twirl around during the ceremony! -Just kidding, of course.... This dress is actually an example of what is inappropriate for a wedding. A dress like this would draw negative attention in any color. The material is right but this dress is just too revealing for a wedding. Do not be that girl who tries to find a man at a wedding. It is weird and desperate but if it happens let it happen in appropriate attire."

That is really awkward, to ask if you'd be interested in advertising canes because it suits your reader demographic? YIKES! Love the polka dot blouse and the jeans.

I really like the rust with the green denim, and I hope the awesome moments outweigh the awesome!
