Awkward and Aweome Thursday

Well, I have a very big awkward today.
My monogramming studio got flooded out when we had a huge rain storm the other night.
It is one heck of a mess.
Not sure how long it will take to get back up and running, but it will not be a fun process!!
 More Awkward:
  • My new glasses got crunched, but luckily they are being repaired right now.
  • When you are planning to shave you legs ('cuz they really, really need it) and you throw out the old blade only to discover you are out of refills.
  • Not realizing you are in a fire ant bed until your hands are on fire and crawling with ants.
  • When you start flipping radio stations in the car and every station has the exact same song on it.
  • Going to the grocery store for one specific item, leaving with 20 other items, but not the one you went to pick up.

Awesome:
  • I finally got my garden planted and a fence around it to keep out the rabbit and deer that destroyed it last year.
  • Eating at a restaurant that was featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
  • Restaurant gift cards
  • Not having a diet coke for a very long time and then taking that first burning sip of goodness.
  • Breaking your solemn vow never to cut your own bangs again, but you do and they turn out pretty darn good!
I don't know why I have been drawn to red, white & blue so much lately.
It just isn't in my usual wheelhouse.
I have to tell you that I love these shorts from the GAP.
Not only are they cute, but oh, so comfy!

Do you have certain colors you always gravitate towards?
Have you found yourself deviating from that lately?

That sucks about your studio getting flooded. I know it's your busy time, so it couldn't have come at a worse time.

I really like these shorts. They do look super comfy. You can never go wrong with red, white and blue looks :) Heather

Cute look and at least it seems like your awesomes out-weighed your awkwards this week so far!

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Wishing your studio a speedy recovery.

I do like this outfit a lot. The scarf is great!

I wore a crazy patterned dress the other day. And bought another one!

You poor dear. A flooded studio. I wish you strength.
As for the fence to keep out the rabbits.... You do know they dig deep underneath the fence? Have you covered that?
Had to laugh over your awkward and awesome stuff. Like usual.

Oh dear, hope you are getting to grips with the flood damage, that sounds awful.
Great summery look, I like red, white and blue. I often get stuck on colours, where them one day then end up wearing them all week and have to force myself to change to something different!
And I am relieved to know I am not the only one who goes shopping and comes home without the one thing I went for! xxxx
