Inspiration Monday

I hope you all had a nice weekend.
We worked on a project that had gone awry here.
Things seem to be under control now.

Two Birds picked Taylor Swift as our inspiration today.
The girl may not be the best vocalist ever, but she is super stylish.
Have you seen her November InStyle cover?
I do love her look here,
but it is a bit young for me.
Enter my grown up version.
I am not normally a hat person.
A baseball cap is pretty much the only kind I can pull off,
but I went with it anyway.
I pulled my Missoni for Target dress out for this look.
Added my motojacket and some black boots.
Taylor might not wear this look,
but I bet her mom would.

Do you wear beanies in the cooler weather?
How do you deal with hat hair?

I felt the same way about the hat and also looking too young. I really like your more grown up version. The dress is one of my favorites you style!

This is an awesome look for you, Brett! You made it age appropriate and quite stylish! You look great in the hat! Thanks for your sweet comments for me about losing my mom!

Love your sweater dress + leather jacket + soft knit hat look! You look comfortably AND fabulous -- my favorite combination! :)

Is her look too young because of the hat? I work with a 20-something and she looks so adorable when she wears a knitted hat. I'd be so hot! lol

I love the inspiration look and your look! I'd wear them both.

Here in the northland I sometimes HAVE to wear a knit hat. In the warm months I have to wear a hat while driving my Wrangler. I just always have bad hair.

Seriously, I don't get hat hair too badly, but I think it's because I don't have bangs. It's always the bangs that get kaflooy according to both of my daughters that both have bangs!
