Beach Bummin'

Last week I was at the beach and didn't really "dress" for the blog.
I did take a couple of outfit of the day shots though.
Here is my take of what to wear when hanging out in March in the Outer Banks.
Best accessory for a brisk morning on the sand...a cup of coffee!
This morning was a bit gray, but we actually had a number of beautiful sunny days while there.
The beach takes on an entire different feel when
it is cold, empty and breezy.
I kinda like it.
Hard to be back to reality and I miss my long walks on the beach.
I guess if I was at the beach all the time it would lose that special quality.
So, until next time sand and surf!

Are you a beach person?
Son2 and I are.
Son1 and husband love the mountains.

Yes, I am definitely a beach person. Growing up on the lake and then moving away was hard. It makes me appreciate it when we go back home.

As for your outfit, it's the perfect cool beach day outfit! Coffee is definitely a nice bonus accessory :)

You look so cute here!

I'm MUCH more of a mountain girl myself. Throw me in a cabin and lock me away.

I totally agree about the beach on a cool, empty day- I love it! Not great for laying out or swimming, but so good for walking and thinking. So peaceful without the crowds of tourists.

You look so appropriately warm and cozy here.

I am a beach person, yet don't make the 15 minute drive there enough! What's wrong with me? Maybe when it warms up before all the tourists arrive I will go.

Enjoy getting back to your "normal" routine.

Yes, I love beaches in winter, a brisk walk by the sea is a wonderfully exhilarating pastime. You look great, Brett! xxx

Next time try Duck's Cottage for coffee & books! The OBX in the winter is glorious!

I love the beach, but then I'm a Florida girl so how could I not?

Great pics, Brett! I so wish it was warm enough for time on the beach! Your Cons are great. I've been looking for a white pair, myself. :) T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I'm more of a woods/mountain fan, but I always enjoy a good week at the beach! Especially during early spring when no one is really there and it's kinda warm. Perfect outfit for it too! Cute and comfy and with coffee!

This is a good common sense article. Very helpful to one who is just finding the resouces about this part. It will certainly help educate me.

I am such a beach person!! I was away a couple weeks back and spent every moment I could at the beach.

I love your outfit, and it's good to hear you had some sun as well.

Love this look! the sweatshirt and converse are so perfect for just relaxing by the beach. I'm definitely more of a beach person than a mountain person.

I love the beach but I'm so tired of the mountains, after living in BC for 7 years!!! They can get to be so depressing, when you're in a valley looking up at nothing but clouds. Sigh...

Enjoy that beach Brett! ;-)

OK you are definitely not beach bumming. I love Old Navy Sweatshirts & you are rocking yours with those classy Converse Sneakers. Gorgeous photos too. Hope you enjoyed your trip. Who doesn't love the beach?
